1994 GT RTS-1

These are the Team RTS decals, which are 94 ;)

However, the top tube of yours looks very 96 like mine and mattbrown's :?

FWIW a Team and RTS-1 are the same frame, shock and swingarm; only the components on a full bike were differant.

As my frame says neither Team nor RTS-1 i believe that frame-only they may have been sold with non-specific decals?

Now, if you can show me a catalogue with my identical frame and decals, i'll believe the year but until then 1994 is close enough for me ;)

I have the same problem with my LTS......the original decals were identical in style to yours.

I have decided, like you, that mine in neither a Team or a 1, and believe it to be 96 rightly or wrongly ;)

I didn't decide what the frame was, simply that this is what it is. It has the flat end cap to the top-tube and also the serial number format of a US built frame, both are distinct differences from the far-eastern frames eg Avalanche and RTS 2/3.

I would assume the same applies to the LTS, but i have never looked in to it.

Is that Warner in the piccie?? Always meant to ask if he had an RTS in the garage, might even venture the question when next I bump into him.

completely unrelated, but boxxer - i'm fairly sure all 8 speed LX hubs were parallax

September 1994 then.

Really looks like they built 2 - 3 years worth of frames between 1993 and '94

I wonder if that was planned or they sold fewer than expected? :?

It's here, it's here, it's here :D

Oddly, i'm more excited about this than most other arrivals.

Anyhoo, i think it's anodised, can anyone confirm if that's how these are prepared? Normally i'd spot it easily but this appears a little 'thick' for ano yet nowhere is it damaged like it were paint (or powder coat for that matter) :?

Ta!
