1993 Serotta built Jamis Dakar. Finished on page 4

Re:

The bars and grips arrived today....

That allowed a bit more progress....

The 'NOS' cantis that CRC were flogging off last year came in handy....

Next was a thorough ring cleaning ;)

Which allowed the chainset to be fitted...

I also fitted the cassette and both mechs, so just chain, cables and pedals to go now.
I weighed it using my luggage scales and it came in at 18.5 lbs

Re:

Almost finished!
I'm going to swap the saddle out for something more 'racey' and I've a few cable crimps to fit.

Just a shame I wont be able to take it for a ride for a few weeks yet.

beautific!
Just the stem quill should be deeper in the steerer tube to prevent breakage...

It's right on the minimum insertion mark ;)

Re:

Unless Makster is the most unlucky guy going, it's the wrist, not a leg injury. Otherwise I shudder to think what his one-handed typing issue was on another thread.
Bike's looking really good and hopefully I'll see it on the trails soon.

So it is a bit to small for you? Sell it to me! ;-)
Looks very good Mark, nice choice of parts, love the ritchey parts.

It is indeed my wrist.
The break seems to be healing up, and I'm getting more movement back in it by the day. Back to the hospital later to get some more treatment.
Going to be asking THE question while I'm there :D
