RF Ti BB and RF HS installed. loosely fit the RF Turbines on to have a look at them on the frameset. also the grey Syncros stem, black Hardcore bar, and the Amp F3XC forks.

i'd like to use the Amp as it's my favourite light weight fork, but yeah unfortunately i have to agree.

so with that, two other options. first a Manitou Comp with grey lowers. Colour is alright but the fork style isn't doing it for me on this frame. :?

next option… Marzocchi XC 600. and i think we have a winner. it's leaking like a mofo, so good think i picked up a rebuild kit some time ago. just never got around to doing.

Out of those 3, I would go with the AMP Then the Manitou. I never really fancied Marzocchi forks. And I also have one of those Manitou Comp forks. They're not very sophisticated, but do the job. Maybe I'll put them on my '96 Blizzard some day.

I'd go with the Zoke first. RM's and zokes are like peanut butter and jelly.

i'd agree that after a proper roll-ahead rigid fork, the zokes look the biz on the Thunderbolt. in my particular case the colour of the XC 600 is spot on with the rest of the build. i found this pic on MTBR a while back while aspiring to own a Thunderbolt one day. sexy to say the least, but i'd have forgone the huge saddle pack and water bottles.
