More controltech black decals arrive for the silver ahead stem whoohooo these will look the part Nice finishing touches With some American flags for the Marin top tube
only decals I was going to get was the Indian fire trails. But I have dis idea to leave them off as it looks really good with out and they alway get worn damaged anyway and I’m not wanting to polish this frame as I like it as is

Just took this XTR M900 UN-91 68 x 107mm bottom bracket off the KHS Team to see if I can use it on the Marin. see it’s the correct size. I’m still not 100% if it’s the right size axle and post to be 110mm long axle for this frame being a oversize aluminium frame with chain stays.

fingers crossed this will work as its well a nice BB and is almost like new Which would be a bonus and A great edition to the XTR M900 crankset

Slowly getting the dreams are real lol.

the days been good to me. Finding parts in parts boxes .

slow progress has resulted in this so far. Now for silver or purple for the bottle cage or both lol

I think the only think I will change is the Ringle Ti Stix QR to black which is on the way

Slowly mock building the Indian fire trail up and it’s looking quite good the American flag has also been added.

Imagination auto pilot I’ve Been thinking today and wondering what would the Kalloy seatpost rail clamps look like silver instead of black on this Kalloy black seatpost. I have never seen that colour combination before only the other way round ..normally the silver post on black rail clamps ..and more so with Ritchey Kalloy or WCS seatposts so it’s got me thinking .

I think 31.4 seatposts are hard to find in different styles a makers But I swear this frame takes a 31.6 seatpost size which is better source and find other seatposts ….I think I will say with Kalloy for now though as its,very Marin to its routs and I quite like it lol .. I’m just wanting to break up the all black And a Syncros Vibe.

So I’ve gone and done it. No turning back now lol. i have some some backups in black just incase they look worse mounted in silver ….there is a pair already in the bowl brewing

Hanks man it’s been a long time since a last build . i can’t believe how well it’s coming together to be honest it’s a bit hard not to get to carried away with it. But it defiantly wants to be build a particular way Iol

Pretty sure it's a 31.4 seatpost, I can check mine tonight if you like?
Also have a spare, not in the best of shape though.

Yes please if you can mate. My seatpost felt quite loose more like it’s on the smaller side

if it was a 31.6 I bet I could find a Nice Syncros for it Later on at some point
