1993?? Dawes Stratos EP

Hi all...as many folk on here will know, road bikes arn't my area of knowledge so just thought I would post up here. My Dawes collection is now getting out of hand, I really love the practicallity and quality of them. Anyways...I just wanted some more info on my stratos....never seen another like mine and no info really available online. It has full campag (something or other)unlike most that have 105 as standard. It rides like a dream but too bloody small for my croaky back if I'm honest. I guess it's from 1993 give or take a year or so?

Hi, this brings back a few memories, i worked for a Dawes stockist from`93 and remember having the statos in stock along with the ultra but alas im afraid they were the shimano gruppo version. didnt sell very well for us bitd as this was a difficult period to sell racing bikes when everyone wanted mtbs and the usual Dawes customer bought the ever faithfull Galaxy tourer.
great bike though lovely lugged reynolds frame and usual quality Dawes paint job.
i`d say you got a rare one there.

I think it was called Stratos because that was the name of the campagnolo groupset used on the bike. Campags timeline says the Stratos was only out for one year which was 1994. It was then called mirage.

I have same model, with Campag transmission – got it 2nd hand a year ago
I wasn’t too sure myself all parts were original – nice to see they are indeed

unfortunately, I had to change the wheels ...
