1992 Specialized Stumpjumper - Finished!

Well, £40 incl postage. Plus the cost of sandblasting and decals. I watched a similar frame and fork set end on eBay for £180, I'm well under that so think that means I've done ok. Got to love auctions where people slightly mis-spell what they're selling :)

Got an period correct Specialized stem from a fellow RB member. Couldn't resist putting the handlebars, STi units and grips on.

Just waiting for the frame to be finished powder coating and I can put it all together.

Still to buy:
* Brake pads
* Brake & Gear cables

Quick update. Frame is now in primer and is being powdercoated this afternoon. Should be able to pick it up tomorrow. Looks like I'll have something to do this weekend :)

Collected the frame today from the powder coaters. Really impressed with the colour, the metallic is really strong in the black.

The metallic:

Then it seemed a shame not to fit Gil's decals. I'd carefully measured the position of the originals and ensured the replacements were fitted in the same place.

This weekend should hopefully involve some rebuilding :)

Slowly puttin the collection of parts I have on the frame. Need to chase the b/b threads as there is a small bit of powder coat on the outside of the b/b shell. Also need headset pressed in to place. Then it shouldn't take too long to have it back in one piece :)

Fitted a few more bits on the Stumpy today:

Brake pads still to source, then all the canti's can be fitted. Chain to go on and all the cables. Then, I think it's finished!
