Trying to learn about the 1992 specialized works gravel bike with rock shock suspension in front. Don’t know anything about this. Was trying to gather information just received Bike. Not sure what I wanna do with it if it’s worth investing in.
That makes it even more hard to guess what you mean,
RockShox had 1992 just introduced the MAG for 26" MTBs.
The first gravel bike Rockshox suspension fork was a custom build from Bruce Gordon, they have equipped a few Rock'n Road bikes with RS forks with a special crown to fit to the bigger wheel diameter. http://www.vintagemtbworkshop.com/1993-bruce-gordon-rock-n-road.htmlAbsolutely lovely!
In worst case, you may just mean a 26" Specialized MTB with regular RockShox fork which got a drop-bar, sometimes called monster-cross etc.
To me not the best idea as most MTBs don't fit well from the geometry point of view to been used with a drop-bar.
Also rolling resistance of the 26" wheels is higher on most gravel roads as for 700C wheels.
