1992 Raleigh Peak

As a few of you are aware, I love the 1992 Raleigh Off Road Series bikes.

So much so, that its my plan to have all 4, of which, im nearly there!

This is my Raleigh Peak, the second the highest spec bike in the aforementined range.

Collected this last year from near Great Yarmouth, and its all original paintwork, means its not needing much in that way of things.

I managed to get a few parts I have been collating over the past 12 months(ish) fitted today, but more to come on this one now the Ravine & Apex are done (apart from cables at least)

Thats the Peak parts also sorted now, the build is going to commence this weekend.

I think I have enough to keep me occupied for a few weeks/months!

First job for this evening will be getting the brake calipers cleaned up and ready for rebuilding.

Shimano LX M550 was fitted on this model.

I believe they would have had the low profile brakes in 1992.
There is a Shimano 1992 catalogue on here.

Hello mate I've just bought an old raleigh peak myself and I'm currently working on a rolling restoration. Being quite new to this could you tell me what chain size to look for. The one on my bike has well and truly rusted away. Many thanks Shaun
