Here are the pics of mine (yes, I have the original fork, but this is my only MTB so it gets ridden and the Marzocchi stays :)

in the early nineties there was a MTB team Z in france and they had totally different bikes . they looked like painted Peugeot / grisley .

There is a picture in a MBA magazine that also has the reversed colors (red on top). Mine does not have the TSDI sticker and the details are definitely different than yours.

LeMond Poster

These are the only 2 pics I've ever seen of him on LeMond MTB's

Hi WickedWheels

Is there any chance you could email me over a higher res copy of that LeMond poster that you popped onto this forum? Sadly, it's too low res to zoom in on the address at the bottom....

LeMond Restoration

BTW - has anyone ever restored/resprayed a vintage LeMond frame like this?

I've had my Z Team replica from from new in about 1990, and it just needs doing (was a Ten Speed Drive Import) - have swapped some emails with Roberto Billato, and he reckons that he didn't actually build the one I've got (from the pics I've emailed him), therefore who did?!

Don't think it was Della Santa who built the first ones - could it be Serotta / Setanta?

My key stumbling block to getting this done is the quality of the replacement decals to go back on. Anyone had any luck with sourcing these from anywhere? Billato reckons that his were made in Italy, but the company that used to make them when he was building them, has long since gone... Gggggrrrrrr.

Indeed - bought it as LeMond is a personal hero and has only become even more so with his fight to attempt to clear the sport of the dopers - particularly from the USPS team...

Sadly, mine needs a respray. Can't wait for it to be tip top again! She does ride beautfully - always has.

Had a chance to talk to the man for a few minutes a couple of years ago. The impression I got was of a modest guy's guy with a wicked sense of humour. He answered every question we had open and honestly (outside of the odd I can't really comment with the lawsuit, but whatever suspicions you have are probably right). Nice guy, really.

That's cool - how did you know he was going to be there?

I've wanted for ages to get a large posted signed by the man himself, frame it, and pop it on the wall of our boardroom....

Is there an official schedule of PA's somewhere?
