Sorry. If you read the title again you will see that I value the bike at £895 which is based on similar bike I saw for sale a couple of years for a lot more but was re decalled serviced etc. It is a rare sought after which I am just passing on. I chose this site particularly as people here will appreciate it and enjoy the fun of an easy project.

What size and serial number? Also whats the spec and is it OEM?
Hi, sorry, where do I find the serial number? I am a size 52 in hybrid bike. I am 5'11" and have 32" inside leg. I will look to see on the bike but I do not have any paperwork with it. What is OEM? I will find these if you communicate. I hope to post pictures but I recently changed to windows 10 and an iphone and have not sussed it all out yet. I posted add in an attempt to see if there is any interest not putting too much effort in first. If I am unsuccessful here I will clean it up and ebay for full value it but it is a rare sought after model.

Look on the left hand rear dropout where the wheel axle slots in for serial number, which includes the year and size.
There will also be another 4 digit number stamp on the dropouts somewhere that would be useful to potential punters.
And change that 8 for a 2 if you really want to sell it.

to add to the above, piccies piccies piccies. No way to put a fair value on it without the details!

By OEM he means original equipment ie is it a nice retro condition or is it an old frame with newer parts.
Left rear dropout should have the serial and size stamped in, something like 0292xxxx would indicate 1992 model (i think!).

And a word to the wise though mate, check out completed listings on ebay etc for this sort of bike they don't go for that much. auctions generally run up to £100-300 depending on area (offer postage you get a better price) and BIN at £300 get relisted several times. It may be a desirable bike but that doesnt always mean valuable.

Good luck with the sale though!

Re:

Intrigued...

...but £895 highly doubt anyone even with NOS M900 would pay that, got to be realistic or relist and relist forever. Wouldn't sell on ebay for that either.

Re:

Hi,

Where about is in Belfast are you? I'm in Four Winds if your anywhere close, and I can let you know what most of the answers are. Would agree on the value though, and to be honest, being in NI will reduce the value on here and eBay as the cost of postage is much higher - I was recently quoted £75 for a bike from England to home.

For an example price, I bought a pretty original GT Zaskar but from '91, so even more desirable, for £120 on eBay. And a '94 in the ink blue anodised finish for £160. No matter how good the finish is (except if it's brand new in a box) it's going to be around £200 max.

Let me know if you need some help.

Re:

a good full build zaskar is worth a lot more than 120 my wheels on mine cost 3 times that so to be realistic its going to depend on all the sums in the equation ie condition spec year size etc etc
