They were only made for one year (91). Gt said there were only 250 made (a number I find optimistic). Only sold as a frameset (frame, fork, headset, + stem). I have one hanging in my living room. I've ridden it 3 times (and I'm the only person that's ever ridden it)
Wow! That thing is mint! The one I'm picking up doesn't have the original fork. Was the fork titanium too? Or was the fork just a basic GT fork from 1991? How hard do you think it would be to find a original fork?
I know that the curved black GT fork was original to it, but I can't help but think that first gen. Syncros Powerlite fork with the black steel legs would fit the bike really well. Or maybe one of them McMahon or IRD Ti-legged rigid forks.
Xizangs were only sold as a complete bike in the 1994 and 1998 model years. In 91 they were sold as a frame, fork and stem kit. 94 and 98 model year bikes were speed with XTR.
