Yes, it must have been a happy coincidence to find both at the same time, though @player pointed me to this 1991 model after I shared the 1992 Avalanche FB Marketplace ad on here. I felt like I won a lottery, I mean what are the odds of that ever happening again?Great find to get both! I have one of these in 18” flavour and it’s such a great steed in one of the most iconic GT paint schemes (in my slightly biased opinion). They are getting rare too, I keep an eye out on eBay etc and seems to be only about 1 a year turn up. Good to have the original stem too, many seem to have lost them over the years.
I have been in touch with the seller of the forks telling him I found the perfect recipient for them and I told him I would share some photos of the bike when I get them fitted, seems fair. right?
Overall, the bike is in very good condition for its age but I will make sure that everything works as it should. Looking forward to that process and I will be happy to share the progress on this great site.
