Re:

Cranks look great, but those pedals are something else - do you take refurb commissions?!
Also checking in for your updates as I have a Diabolo frame which I should be picking up soon.

Re: 1992 Dave Yates Diablo

Many thanks Matt, they are the second set of pedals I've done now. I would love to more but time is my issue, pm me if you need details.
Look forward to seeing your Diablo make an appearance!

Re: 1992 Dave Yates Diablo

Thanks to 800 followed by 1200 wet and dry, 1st polish with auto sol and meguiars metal polish to finish ;)

Re: 1992 Dave Yates Diablo

Are those cranks going to fade a little bit? Lmk because I have some cranks I want to poslih but I am not sure if they will have that mirror finish for a longer period of time or if I will have to polish them every 3-4 days.

Re: 1992 Dave Yates Diablo

Hi! Yes there has been progress.... Of sorts?

I know I said at the beginning this would take me ages, well one thing led to another. I was going to get the frame sprayed or powder coated but this would of been far too easy and as always I like to make life complicated for myself decicided that if I'm gonna build this bike I may as we'll try and do the lot!

Invested in a nice Bambi silent compressor

...and an Iwatta Neo air brush gun, chosen some paint and Gil is currently designing/supplying the decals.

Preparation is is key so I stripped the garage, cleaned and painted everything, this was finished the weekend so I'm still moving back in and setting up. Managed to get a couple of hours on on the Yates prepping for paint.

Also a change of wheels to go with the new colour scheme I have in mind, thanks to Yetidh9 these Nos straight laced Rigida beauties made there way over from Denmark...

Re: 1992 Dave Yates Diablo

Nice idea on painting it yourself, what colour is in mind?

Those wheels will look very classy, and what a nice man-cave you have :) .
