Cheers

Re:

Mr Peachy

having ventured to said parts storage and fork collection I found three different types of caps

However I think yours being the very early model are likely to be the slightly smaller in diameter to those used on the XC600 as screwing these into the XC 250’s leaves them sitting very proud

I think you will need the 4 cross one apposed to the three spoke jobbie the third version not pictured are on my NOS Xc600 fitted to the lobster and are sculpted and less agricultural in appearance

If you let me know where you want the ones in the first pic and bottom left of the last pic below - posting to I’ll send them Monday

Cheers Nick, yes they need to be the 24mm version as per XC500 and older. PM on its way...(how many beers do I owe you now?) :D

Re:

Here you go ... a small teaser to make you a bit moist whilst waiting for the postman  :?

Yours for the princely sum of a prayer in church when you next go on Sunday...however if your about as religious as me that could entail a very looooong wait

so in the meantime I’ll settle for a quick ride round on this shiny winter project of yours at Mayhem - provided of course your bringing it and young Jimmy doesn’t chuck it out at the last minute and stow away in vacant space under instruction from Mrs Peachy in order to keep an eye on you !

And here’s the donar forks from many moons ago fitted to a Clockwork

Cheers Spud, you can definitely have a cruise on the Antaeus at MM, but as for running order you might need to sort that out with Longun & Legrandfromage as previous custodians...

I'm in awe

Cheers, it’s been a great build, but definitely one that’s only been possible with all the support I’ve had from the gang here...

Re: 1991 Claud Butler Antaeus 653 Magnum FINISHED

Laid low with a couple of cracked ribs for a while and am under strict orders not to do any work.. just rest... bloody bored... :(

Fortunately the Karma angels have shown me favour in a nice pair of Claud branded Elite cages.. these came free from Lee AKA Retrobikeguy, I was allowed to run them through the dishwasher, touch up the odd chip with humbrol, dress the plastic with 303 protectant and swap out the plain black ones on my 653 Antaeus...

Proper chuffed.... little things... :D 20B779A8-4EEB-4190-AB27-B7BDA7F36F7B.jpeg D6392E9D-EDC0-4CD4-8B2B-DD0EC61CEF2B.jpeg
