Fear not; the paint is safe.

I gave the BB a bath in Evaporust for 24 hours, and it's rust-free!



Now to work out how to seal the frame properly. I don't fancy getting covered in Kurust!

It's paint friendly, as far as I know, unlike the white vinegar that I tried first. Neither of them strip the paint, but the white vinegar faded it a tiny bit (and didn't work very well on the rust). I'm looking forward to seeing how it does on my rust-heap Muddy Fox Pathfinder.
