It's already 2024??
Time to continue on this project.. Before the paint cans go bad..
As I hate sanding and stuff, I thought I'd make me some kind of powertool to speed up the process. Also I was kind of inspired by Paul Brodies powerfile that he presented on his channel.
I proudly present: *hero soundtrack blasting* The
CtSBSA ! (cobbled together scrap belt sanding attachment)
Ok. I admit, that was anticlimactic. But it works. Even better than I thought. Due to the movable arm that is held on tension by the two bent spokes, the belt can wrap around the tubes a bit. It reduces the tendency of most sanding tools to leave flat spots if you keep at it for too long.
Makes short work of the powder coating. But it leaves some areas, that are difficult to reach. I'll have to think about a solution for that, too. Maybe the oscillating tool.
What did you say? Sand the rest by hand? Pfft! No way!
