Words to follow & sorry, not the sharpest of pics !

You're fast getting a collection I want more than anyone else's on here. :D

Keep up the good work.

Thanks for the kind words fellas - it's very much appreciated

After trawling through this site for a few months now I have come to the conclusion that colour choice is a fickle thing. One mans tasty scheme can be another mans nightmare ! So deciding on the Dome's white suit of clothes was a very personnel choice.

I don't like bright or gaudy colours. Never have done and never will. So decided to keep the bike simple and clean looking. Hence the high gloss white powder coat ! After sending instructions for the colours I must confess to having second thoughts: will it be way to stark or will it not look right on an older frame ? The black was chosen because of the high contrast which, I think, sets off the frame nicely. The whole bike looks really nice in the flesh and feels quite cool (temperature that is) up close.

I can imagine that the purists amongst us may huff a little with disdain at my decision to remove the original purple but to be honest it was too far gone to save and I didn't like it anyway

So, rant over, my first retrobike project nears it conclusion. Only cables & chain to fit now. Setting up canti brakes will be a steep learning curve, having not done so since the mid nineties! Once done I will post a full spec with final piccies. Hopefully within the next week  I really like what i've done with this Kona and can honestly say that i've found the whole project hugely enjoyable. A fantastic new hobby :D

Cheers and thanks to those who've helped........Steve.

Apart from a few little tweaks and maybe some minor additions in the future I think that's it for the 'Dome. Many huge thanks to all who supplied parts and assistance along the way. It's been a steep learning curve, especially since i've been away from bikes for so long ! Also some cock -ups occurred which i'll keep to myself for now

Cheers, Steve.
