I got this as a bit of an impulse purchase, I almost bought one on here last year, the NOS frames but didn't. restrained! This looked like one of the NOS ones, still has a white size/model sticker on and clean paint though a few globs, so maybe its a seconds one, vendor thought it was old though.

As I got it in shed-parts-build, with DIY single speed, 17T cassette cog spacers, sawn off XTR M950 34t and tensioner, and a mix of original and added bits inc odd wheels.

rode it about for a bit but it skipped gear, frame is flexy which doesn't suit SS needs plus steering a bit sharp. So quick fix rebuild ideas evolved.
Naturally it got a bit fussier than quick cheap rebuild, and waiting on grips and swapping supplier meant another month on top, now I'm ready for Summ...er...! :D

Happy with the result, a nice mix of my own parts and a few bought.

Loving the original cromo seat post and skinny OS BMX like frame tubes.

Rockin' 7 speed now that SS wasn't quite right, gearing should suit urban and even odd offroad fun, we'll see...

Chrome front end includes Ritchey Nitto 130mm stem, and wideish bars.
So still sharp!

Awesome

I had a massive soft spot for these BITD, and this still looks absolutely stunning, IMO. Love the pictures of it on action, too

yum yum

did it come with the team extreme stem and bar? I always found having those set up on my one really comfortable. Digging the e stays still.

Thanks a lot Steve, :)

Cheers Mike, sadly it didn't come with the extreme 31.8 wing bar combo, It came with the Titec bars and a shorter chrome stem (see first pic) I tried to buy a wing combo on here but it sold with a frame. I'd really like to try an extreme wing combo on it as the handling is a bit strange, I think its a bit low for me, might wind up using the bits to try the Saracen Kili yet or one of the other frames in half build. I bet it would be wierd off road. Do love the look of it though. A guy online made one in bigger size into a fixie that worked really well.

That suits you well Mark, hope you have tons more fun on it.

You coming the Peaks, September 25th?
