I have one of these. Guessing by the serial it's a 1992', It was given to me around 2001 or so by a competitive rider that used to work with my dad. He got like prostate cancer and ended up taking a job on a passenger to train to see the country and live out the rest of his days. The original fork was long gone when he gave it to me, swapped out for a fork off of a Fisher. This bike was my main mode of transportation for many many years. It was my whole world. It was stolen three times and I always managed to track it back down. I rode that thing into the ground several times over. Gradually losing quality on the parts he had one there, like my Chris King cassette and hub, because as a kid I just couldn't afford fancy parts. The last couple years I have been way too busy running my company to ride much. The roof in the shed sprung a leak and corrosion has been taking hold. So I just brought it back into the house. Paint job is pretty rough at this point. Whoever changed out my bracket last, left it open to the elements but I think I still have all the spare parts he gave me back. I'm considering using Adobe illustrator to get myself replacement stickers printed up, and redo the paint job on it. I would actually love to customize it in a number of ways. It is so amazingly lightweight, and the seating position just lets me push the crap out of the pedals. I used to ride it with toe clips and see how fast I could get to work every morning. I've had several other bikes for different applications over the years but this one will ALWAYS be with me. It's my Ideal daily rider and road / gravel bike. I have looked many times for information on it over the years, and now all of a sudden there's a few others surfacing who have this amazing bike, and it's inspiring me to breathe life back into it and get my butt back out there.
