Always a labour of love getting these old bikes running and looking great again.
She was a stunner, never had the same attachment as the grey 91 that I rode and raced for years though, and that I now have started refurbishing

Had a bit of time to clean the front and rear Deore XT mechs.
The original rear XT mech was already still in really good condition it just needed some more polishing to get it how i wanted it.
The front mech on the other hand was just to far gone with corrosion to attempt to get it like the rear so i've sourced another M-735 XT mech and gave it a good polish and it came up a treat.
You can see the difference between them in the photo.
Had a bit of time to clean the front and rear Deore XT mechs.

Front wheel is done,same with the back wheel with a few spokes loose so that will have to be trued up aswell.
The new SIS cables have arrived so it's just a case of getting the chainset gleaming again and that's the drive train all sorted. I'm probably going to swap the XT 11-28 cassette for a nos 13-30 HG70 i've got because i could do with the XT one for my 1990 Explosif i'll be building after this.
Once the drive train is all sorted it's onto the brakes and finish off with some detailing and it should be looking good,very happy with it so far
