1995 Specialized Rockhopper parts bin build

looks clean
Thank you, it’s turning into a tidy looking build. I don’t think the original bike saw much use.

The brake lever bodies and shifter mount have had a new cost of gloss black, masked the ‘AVID’ logos off so will need to do some touch ups around them by hand once they dry.

Lever bodies have new black paint. Did what I could to keep the Avid logos, not perfect but better than before. Paint around the logos needs a bit more drying time then I’ll replace what’s on the bike.

Finally finished, quick spin around the village to check everything works and feels good. Loving the thumbies and the nostalgia of riding a parts bike like I would have had mid to late 90’s.

It’s a spritely ride, weighs 26.25lbs.

Pics of the bike built up plus my parts build from that time.

Just finished the mini Specialized Hotrock too, it’s now sporting the STX rear mech from the Rockhopper as the Tourney one was knackered, hence the addition of a mech guard too. Save those drop damages 👍
