1990 Ritchey Ultra Rescue

Ohh, fingers crossed for you - hope you found a hidden gem there. Isn’t the bb an early Shimano XT style one - the one with the loose (not caged) ball bearings?
Looking forward to updates.. 👍

Very similar, like most cup/cone style back then before the modern sealed cartridge style came in the early 90s.
Shimano have Shimano stamped on them on the fixed cup and dates and other thing stamped on this side. (date code and size at the least)

Have you clocked the stem - interesting hanger on it.
It looks an awful lot like a "FD Comp racing stem".

Looking at the Ritchey advert - it could well have the original Vantage rims too - labeled with Wheelsmith sticker - that fits too

It was the stem that made me think it must be pre-1992, as I think that's when they removed the hanger.

How worn do the rims look? The wheels weren't something I factored in as of value as it was too hard to tell from the Ebay photo.

They are a bit worn - but seem true. Given that everything else seems very original - it's worth giving them a pop. How much are you going to ride it?
Seems like you might have a winner :)

Depends how I get on with the size, as it is probably slightly small for me. I'll definitely ride it as close to original as possible before I decide my plans.
