Just wondering what the differences were between the Skyrunner and the elevation 10000? or are they the same bike just marketed for different sides of the pond? I have the opportunity to grab a 1991 10k as a replacement to my Cadex CFM that recently departed to greener pastures. Its all Suntour xc pro though, no Shimano. Big fork but alas no syncros parts (I'll have to raid my parts bin)

The frame in this thread is a 1990 model. It is similar to the 1990 Miyata Century, apart from the gold plating.

The Elev10K for 1991 is identical to the 1991 SkyRunner, but has carbon tubing for seat- and chainstays.

In 1992 a totally new SkyRunner/Elev10K arrived.

He probably did this and decided that this is what he wants to do for the rest of his life; if so, not bad decision imho.

In any case I love attention to details on this bike. Very nice build indeed.
