1990 Koga Miyata -'SkyRunner --- Almost , Pg 3 update

My First project of 2016.

Big shout out to remko for ticking this one off my 'list'

1990 Carbolite Koga Miyata , This bike was one of those bikes I listed after bitd, never thought I'd actually get around to seeing one , never mind owning one.

Will be mainly catalog build , Shimano's XT Drive , with steering taken care of by Syncros and Tange Prestige Switchblades..

Here we go.

really nice condition, i have also a 1990 frame which is waiting for restauration. Think i will start in a few weeks...so i will wait for further pics...congrats!

Great bikes, I've had two, no light weights!
Good you are going with the Tange forks, they look great with this frame.

Thanks everyone for their kind comments , it's indeed not going to be a lightweight build , but I can live with that, this frame when built was hand built and to last a good day in the saddle old school style

I think the bike will be durable to say the least

Koga I believe changed the design on the 91 models by slimming down the rear stays etc,

I've noticed the U brake has also disappeared and is running cantilever brakes front and rear.
Luckily this frame takes a nice 'U' brake in the rear

I'm undecided yet to source a black m730 chainset for the frame as per catalog or run a sliver version ? Hmm
