Finished,finally decided on the tyres and sorted out the noisy freehub. It turned out the reason the freehub was making a noise was the cassette catching the spokes. A quick switch to a more modern HG cassette and the noise has stopped,i'm guessing the older HG cassettes had a spacer.

Took my 89/90 Suntour based Cindercone to Mayhem this year
And the Splatter was a real talking point
