1990 Cramerotti

Hi all,

I'm usually over in the vintage mtb section but thought I'd post a recent find for anyone interested in commenting or critiquing.

This bike came out of La Bicicletta in Vancouver B.C. in approximately 1990.

Some nice features include Columbus Ellittica tubing with internal cable routing for the top tube Cinelli bottom Bracket and Campy dropouts. the top tube is also flattened horizontally near the seat tube and lugged there whereas it's vertically flattened near the headtube and fillet brazed for the top and down tubes. Original owner purchased the frame/fork and outfitted it with Shimano 600 and second owner added indexed shifting. I'm the lucky third owner. This bike has been treated well over the years and from the decals to the drivetrain it's held up very well.

tks for looking.

Very nice, not a brand I've heard of. Tubing is quite possibly Columbus Max which was good quality and stiff - if not the lightest. I have a Scott Team Issue MTB built from it which is great. Plenty of info. on Col. Max on here I think.

Re:

I had a green Cramerotti much like yours. Fast and sexy bike! I live just across the border from you. It was a bit too big for me, I ended up selling it back across the border to a guy in Abbotsford.
