I completed the build Friday and I am absolutely thrilled with the outcome. It's nice when you have several months to prepare all the parts.
Also happy to say that the Suntour thumbies and cogset shifts quite well. It's my first time riding XC Pro thumbies, I love the feel of them.
Oh ya, the ride
Got out with five other riders yesterday on our usual Pitt River trail followed by a pint (or two).
I never rode the Blizzard after picking it up initially. It was in a bit of a sorry state and figured I'd surprise myself later. I love the way it rides, kind of knew I would. It's a relief to say that after so many hours spent on the restoration though. I normally like the look of a lower rise stem better but the higher rise Ritchey feels perfect and there was no using any other stem anyway.
I'll post some updated pics after the new tires come in a couple weeks.
