1989 Mountain Goat TrenchGoat with Shimano XT (Deore cranks), Brooks Swift Ti seat, Tange Prestige bars etc. (view pics).

It rides very nice. I am part of the bike, not on the bike. The frame shows typical MG details like headtube reinforcement collars and brazed on Goat heads on the seattube.

That is lovely :)
Always liked the Mountain Goats but this looks great with a really nice setup. I am not usually a fan of the splatter paint but it suites this perfectly.
That seat post junction is art itself :)
Nicest mtb I have seen in a long while.

Thank you all for the kind words on the bike.

I purchased the bike many years ago from a bikeshop that was related to the distrubitor of Mountain Goat in the late 80s, early 90s. They imported all the cult brands like Fat Chance, Yeti, Serotta, Grafton, Syncros etc. The Goat was set up as single speed bike with partly modernish equipment. I fell in love instantly. I chose for a geared setup and most parts are period correct, except for a couple bits that are a few years younger like the ChillPills and Magics.
