1989 Bianchi MTB

Only if you really like the shape of the frame, most of the parts are low rent Shimano, the wheels are slightly newer being LX parallax hubs. Might be worth a punt if it goes cheap enough ;)

I think it's the Thomisus, 2nd bottom in the range, you'd be better looking for one of the top 3, Araneus, Migale or Theridion if you like the frame, as they were made with Colombus/Oria tubing, so not quite as heavy as the lower 3.

Just reminded myself of the colour differences and it's the Bianchi Meta, which was the bottom of the range model. Same frame as the Thomisus, but with lower than its 200GS components!

Considering these models from the Bianchi Ragno range come up every now and then and attract interest I'll try to compile all the information I had on them and put it in the wiki.

If anyone has any information or a catalogue, let me know!

from experience a bit of an oddity, Italian headset and bb, 21.1 stem, not easy to source those bits if they're poggered especially not in oz, mine lurks in the cave with delusions of grandeur.....

"Meta" :cool:
