looks great. how did you like the ride?
i finished my beater '89 awhile back.
still haven't ridden it or posted pictures.
nowhere as nice as this one.
It rides great! Handles quicker than I thought it would. Fun little bike!
Cool that you have an 89 Avalanche! BTW, thanks for posting that info on the 86 Avalanche, I didn't know they made a custom fillet brazed one back then.

I can't remember where I found this, but here's an old review of the 88 bike from MBA:

Very nice. Is there a model name/number for the Ukai rims?
The catalogue specs don't give any more detail but here's a picture :

Great work, Blizz. New decals? Or did you work some razor blade magic on the old ones?
Thanks! They are original decals touched up with a black and blue Sharpie. :)
Honestly, the paint was in pretty rough shape when I got the bike that I didn't care about getting permanent marker on the frame, so I experimented and coloured in the missing decals.
On another bike I've tried fixing up some decals by cutting some vinyl a similar colour, it's not easy or the best but it can look better than having half a letter missing. I might try that technique my Thunderbolt or just get some new decals made.

Thanks, I think they might look good on my Mountain Klein.
