88 was a good year, at least for me as I was born. 89 would have been a better year, greg herbold won the downhill wc in 90 with a 89 ridgerunner.
Anyways the only stock part left on this bike is the non drive side crank, every other part got downgraded over the years but funny enough the bike is maintained really good: bearings run smooth, shifts decent, drivetrain is fine…. I would almost think it’s a shame to strip and rebuild. But I will do so anyways .
I kind of lost the spirit with my most recent project, a k2, and for now I will move the xt m730/732 group from that bike to the ridgerunner. After that all I need is a turbo saddle (and another stem, seatpost, bar, grips, headset, decals, u brake, forks paintjob )
