This one was a bit gate like for me so I swapped the frame for a smaller one.

It languished in bits in the garage, the new frame was sound but really needed new paint and I couldn't find the time or money.

In conversation with Graham Foot, it turns out the Avanti was his first MTB, and he still had his frame and forks out the back of the shop complete with 'upgraded specialized decals'. Pretty cool frame I thought so I built it back up to OE spec apart from the saddle.....













And then gave it back to him this morning:



One more out of the door in the retro bike cull and a happy Graham!
