Thanks for adding this. Hopefully this build draws out a few more of the Toronto riders from the 80s and 90s to reminisce.

John has one of Harvey's odd ball full suspension road frames. I was told a lot went to Tony Beeks. Beeks and Cameron were close. I know one of Cameron's jigs ended up at Mariposa where it still is, but I am pretty sure there were 3-4 made and I have no idea what happened to Harvey's actual jig.

The "jig" that's at Mariposa is actually the old frame alignment table from Cycle Logic. I had learned to use one when I worked for Tony Beek in the summer of '90. I bought it off John when myself and a friend started Ripe Pipe bikes in '91. When I finished building frames in '00 or so I just left it at Bicycle Specialties and eventually Mike Sr. traded me a unique Mariposa for it and a bunch of my other building crap...K

My friend Dave told me aboot this thread and it's been great to read. Bringing up some fond memories of mispent youth! I too have a Cameron that is pretty unique that I'll post about: A kids bike that works with 20" AND 26" wheels. Need some time to gather thoughts and pics...K

Description​

Rare Toronto built bike
Has new tires, tubes, grips, saddle.
There's not much around about these bikes Harv Cameron built the bikes in his East End Toronto shop around 1987-88 $2250 It's a great ride. His frames sold, back then, for around $2800

Just found this thread while searching for information on my Camerons for my son. I have a beautiful forest green hardtail and a rear suspension cameron that I still ride, circa 1992-93 ish. Good times!! The green bike is my favourite and the one my son uses now. Super crazy light. I first bought a Stumpjumper from Cyclelogic, then graduated to the super light Cameron. It was my pride and joy!!! My only regret is John swapped out the original forks for switch blades. Even back then I knew it felt wrong!! I was having trouble with my back so I then went into debt with the rear suspension Cameron. I love them, they are like works of art to me. I remember that Mountain Bike Magazine article!! I had a copy too, but long gone. So great thanks for this bit of history so my son doesn't think I make all this stuff up Your bike looks real nice. I need details on the decals!
