Reluctantly selling my 1986 Peugeot Triathlete, as it's a 23 inch frame, I'm only 5'8" and those two things have proved sadly incompatible.
Selling for £160 just to make my money back, hopeful of finding it a good home - has been recently serviced and refurbished with new white Cinelli cork bar tape and orange Jagwire cable, plus Shimano 600 front and rear brakes and front derailleur.
Rear derailleur and gear levers are original equipment - Rival ARIS indexed 6 gear, made by Sachs Huret. I have a Shimano 600 rear mech which I'll sell you at cost for an extra £20, but I didn't bother fitting it as the Sachs job works perfectly. Plus I'd have needed to buy Shimano levers.
Hubs are Maillard, front rim is Mavic 190FB, rear hub is Chrina Rigida. Nice and true, I'm not an expert but they look in pretty good nick.
Handlebars and stem are Atax, chainset and seatpost are Stronglight. Haven't counted the number of teeth on the chainset but I will if you want me to. Likewise can't remember what brand the tyres are, but they're decent.
Saddle - as you can see - needs replacing, I have a white Selle Italia one that I bought and haven't fitted which I'll sell at cost for £10 if you like. Pedals, as you can see, are plastic and aren't great - again, I have some Shimano 600 pedals I can sell you at cost if you're interested.
The frame and chromed forks are both Reynolds 501. The frame is in reasonably cosmetic condition with some bumps and scrapes as you'd expect from something that's nearly 30 years old. Particularly there's paint worn away where the original band for the front derailleur was before it was replaced.
Bicycle weighs 10.2kg on my digital hanging scales, I've no idea how that compares with modern road bikes but compared to my 3-speed gas pipe commuter or my B'Twin Hybrid, it's light as a feather and is a joy to ride!

Cheers,
Drew
