Hi
A real sad sale for me as I've only had this one a couple of days and was hoping to strip and rebuild to use this summer, unfortunately I'm not going to have the time and thought it would be better if someone else could get use out of it, I think its a 1985,frame is 531c, forks 531, it has Suntour Cyclone11 gears, Sugino chainset, Weinmann 405 brakes, overall condition is OK, no dents or dings to the frame but it has a few scratches that show up red through the top colour, it looks like it had a red base coat as it has a red sheen to the finish in daylight, the wheels/tyres are probably the worst part and although I've ridden it with no problems I personally would change them, but that's just me, headset also is smooth but pitted ( Tange Levin).
The teeth on the rear sprocket and chainset look hardly worn so I can only surmise it didn't see a lot of miles, I bought it from a lady who said it belonged to her Father and it had spent a lot of time it the shed hence the scratches.
Viewing welcome

I'm looking to basically get what I paid for it so offers around £100 picked up or you arrange the courier as I've never posted a full bike before.

Sorry forgot to say, size is 60cm measured centre to top

Thanks for looking

Re: 1985 Raleigh Competition

I like the way you're not out to make a profit on this, fair play to you.
That bike is a total bargain at £100. Those frames ride so well, really comfy.

Re:

Thanks Pointer

It was unfortunate I couldn't keep it, so to me its better going to someone I know will give it the attention it needs, money's nice but it not everything.
