1976 Joe Breeze road bike

Before Joe Breeze ever built a mountain bike, he learned the craft in the '70s from the reigning American master, Albert Eisentraut. As part of the course program, he built a bike for himself, and after he completed the course other members of Velo Club Tamalpais asked for frames. This is the third bike Joe built, around 1976.

I was with CK today at our old friend's house, looking at that bike. Joe's craftsmanship is evident even at this early stage. He continued to make more road bikes, and in the nineties his company made some beautiful road bikes. The best of the nineties bikes was called the Cloud Nine. It was extremely light for it's time, sub 19 pounds. But this one was completely hand made by Joe. His company makes a line of commuter bikes + Hardtail front Sus. bikes with the old style paint with long spear points in the front these days, but Joe is the designer only.

Apologies for moving off topic, but do any photo's exist of the tandem Tom Ritchey built for Joe and Otis Guy's coast to coast record attempt?
- Man, that's something many folks would love to see! Do you know what happened to that bike, or was it not actually built in the end?
