I do like the patina, and I find the putting together more fun than taking apart. I have seen a very nice Argos painted example recently though that has sparked my desire for a respray. The other thing is I'll never sell it so there's no rush. Plus I'm easily distracted lots of other projects on the go!

Well after all this time the frame is with the painter and I expect it will be finished this week. Fork has fresh chrome and I know its going to look amazing. Pics to follow.

Just found this thread. Properly nice job on this resto. I love to see rolling projects like this. It makes the journey so much more interesting. It's also nice to see something that was clearly unloved and unvalued, find it's proper place again. Looking forward to seeing the respray.

Thanks, glad you like it. It was a steep learning curve gathering all the correct components and I put off respraying because the correct decals just weren't available. Just had a sneak preview of the paint it'll be finished tomorrow.

Yes they are. Still not 100% imo
