Retro Newbie
Hi. I posted some photos of this bike a few months ago in some other corners of the web. My apologies to those that are seeing this again. Knowing there are a lot of forum members from the UK, I figure some of you may enjoy seeing this classic British race bike. The bike was quite a wreck when I found it, but I'm proud to have brought it back to life. Enjoy!

The frame itself needed to be sent out for repair as well. The frame had a small crack below the seat binder bolt. The seller did not disclose it at the time of purchase, but a failed repair attempt had been made. Acclaimed framebuilder Frank the Welder agreed to take on the repair. In order to reinforce the area, a sleeve was added to the seat tube and the seat binder area was re-built/welded to match the original. After return of the repaired frame, I cleaned up the file marks and sanded/polished the frame to bring back the original finish.

The Weyless pedals were badly scratched and deformed, but worth saving. I cut out some wood blocks to reshape the pedal cages and filed away the scratches. Then I sent the pedals out to be re-anodized:
