1970's Raleigh Merlin - Information required.

Hi All

I just got my grubby mits on this little beauty. Can anyone tell me the year of manufacture and a little background about it please? I'm going to restore it 'As Is' and use it as my work bike for a while. The seat post was free and the dynamo and bulbs still work hehehehe

Well this short film is dated 1979. The brake levers, stem and possibly the brake calipers will have a date stamp..
