Unfortunately an old school friend has the unenviable task of clearing some 40 years worth of stuff from his late Father's house.

He contacted me to say that he had a couple of bits I might be interested in

I collected them this morning and here is the frame

Its stuck in the back of the car at the mo but heres as many detailed pics as possible.

It came with an Airlight hub front wheel and luckily the original bars and stem for the clip headset

The frame and fork feels very light and having looked again I have the original wheels but unfortunately the cog spins both ways at the moment

Alumnium rims do look later especially as he was a bit of a tinkerer. The hub is too gooey to look for a date just yet.

No name on the bars or stem but some nice GB levers:

I've a funny feeling that many of the original parts are perched upon this BSA...

Re:

Oh yeah... Thought it was familiar... does look like a Lenton.

Not sure I see any Lenton bits on the BSA...

I've got some scruffy original brakes somewhere if you want to go down that road.

I rebuilt a very similar one with a newer Sturmey AW hub and modernish components. Used a square taper BB axle in the original cups as they are a silly Raleigh thread. It rode nice.
