Someone had made quite a mess of the clamp around the post in a previous attempt to remove it, so I've gone with the very lazy approach of:
1. Email Dave Yates (they've been really helpful so far)
2. Strip down frame and send to him to remove post and full respray.
3. Spend my spare time scouring ebay and retro bike forum for nice parts to build it up
This does feel a bit like a cop out but at least I'll get a nice fresh frame!
Should I get a disc mount added at the same time? I'm leaning towards no.
