Excellent film and i don't like Danny Boyle films. Good to see that the main character of the film was riding a mtb with out a helmet.
I'm sure that a different director would have put a helmet on him just to be pc.

quite enjoyed this (at first i was thinking what can you do with one man in a crevice for an hour and a half )

as neil g said, better than most of the stuff coming out at the moment

ive been very dissapointed with the film makers lately

In the book he makes it quite clear that he was a pretty reckless guy with very little regard for his own personal safety in all the 'outdoor' activities he enjoyed and that it was this reckless abandon that ultimately led to him losing his hand.

If he's not wearing a helmet in the film, its a deliberate device to make you realise what an idiot he is, not 'two fingers up' to the PC brigade.

If he still bikes now, you can bet he wears a helmet.
