105 / ultegra BB for M952 cranks

Hi -

I have a set of 5 arm XTR Octalink V1 cranks I want to install on my '96 Stumpjumper with a 73mm BB Shell...

As the XTR cranks are V1 Octalink the only BB spline interface that will fit is an original XTR (can't find one at the moment) or a road BB (105, Ultegra, etc)

My issue is that the road ones are all 68mm. While these fit the smaller spindle (109.5mm) version puts the non drive side crank too near so it rubs... I haven't tried the longer 118.5 105 BB yet but other than the chainline will be all wrong what other issues would I see?

This bike will be a single speed.

i've got an M950 BB. i'm in bristol, wanna make me an offer for it? i've gone over to using an M952 cartridge cos i'm lazy and it takes a few minutes less to fit.
