Took my 1x9 out for it's first proper offroad outing on Sunday, chain only came off once which TBH I was quite surprised by.

Need to do some tweaking now to get it 100% right

1x9 set-up. Sram X-0 derailleur and twisty-shifty, with Sram 11-34 cassette and 32 chainring and an N-Gear chain watcher.

Does that chain catcher actually keep the chain on during a bumpy ride? the website talks about it helping with downshift but thats it.

I'm sure that chain will bounce over that N gear, I had my stopper rigged up in a similar way and the chain still went over the top on the frame side.

Have to hit something pretty big/bumpy rto make it happen though

I realised i still haven't put mine on. Its a 1x7 44t front cog and the tensioner pictured is s**t! I'm looking for something a little better than this.

I very rearely need much more than the 1x7, the bar ends are a must as it really helps me climb the hills. Thinking about changing to 1x9 in the future!
