<£60 bike for a woman

A friend needs a basic well functioning bike for nipping around town. Something with mudguards would be king but anything that runs and stops well is fine.

Located in Birmingham but can come collect from any place an easy train trip away for something good.

I know it's a probably older than 98 but, 17" frame, Ridgeback hybrid. Missing seatpost, and some surface rust, but still a good bike. I was looking for £60 posted for her, but in light of your budget, I'll take £50 posted, and I'll throw in a saddle, so you just have to get the right seatpost. Pm if interested.

Thanks for the offer, that may have been just right but she only went and bought something without asking me. Sounds like a pile of junk! lol
