£115 uk customs charge!

Worse one was a shock I sent to the states for a service, I got charged quite a hefty amount for importing my own property back in to the UK, as its condition had been altered by the service so left an opportunity for money to be screwed from me.

I got charged VAT on the cost of getting my shock serviced in the states when it got shipped back! this was collected by the PO who then charged me £8 for collecting the VAT! after a heated chat with the blonde bint chewing gum behind the counter who insisted on calling me mate and darlin which wound me up! I rang the customs and excise people who explained the charges and commented on the £8 PO charge .... and people call us robbing b@st@rds

i'm happy to pay import duty, i'm not happy when packages go missing inside the EU... I'm 99% certain that there is a postman somewhere between leeds and malaga riding a very nice bianchi right about now. :evil:

What bugs me about this is not so much the VAT charges but the £8 the post office steals from me. It normally cost more than the VAT.
And on the sticker they make sound like they are doing you a favor :x

Just had one of the Custom charge to pay £11.71 for 2 bloody fork seals !
Ive emailed the sender to see what they described it as

phone call with royal snail £8 handling fee ffs even the chap on the phone said it was a disgrace...
