I jumped a large puddle, followed by a few bumps.... Then I saw the spring fire off into the undergrowth somewhere!! The shock shaft detached from the shock eyelet, i'm assuming that the thread stripped in the eyelet. So I need the spring, collar and eyelet from AMP, or a Risse...

Lost mine in Gisburn forest today.... Does anyone have an original, or Risse, rear shock? ... or a metal detector? Thanks.

The lump hammer treatment didn't work for me either... cost me a fortune in wrecked tools!

Yep, I heated up the frame, carefully, to avoid any paint damage. I did it in January. It was about -5 degrees, which probably helped!

Having spent a week trying to remove a BB using a tin of penetrating oil and brut force (and yes - use the trick of using a bolt and some big washers to hold the tool in place) - my last resort was using a paint removal hot air gun. The BB was released in 30 seconds, with no damage to the paint.

Thanks for the advice. I have sent an email to AMP, but was also wondering if there was anywhere in the UK supplying these parts - ought to be a bit quicker. Will repost in the Chat section as suggested.

Nice bike! Bought the same model for my gf in 1997, she didn't like it either! Still got it, must have done maximum 10 miles. It's living in the shed now and will come out when it's seriously retro. Lovely paint job and a very light bike.

Was just about to ask the same question for my new old AMP B3! When I bought it all of the nuts were full of a deep red coloured polish. Not sure what it was, but it had done a good job.

Just out of interest... How much would you expect the AMP to have sold for then?

Wow, I've got exactly the same model in original spec. Even the tyres are identical originals. Mine's got to go though... just bought an AMP B3 and need the space for that.
