This is my latest upgrade to my ongoing Sahara project. Blue slicks make sense to me, am doing a lot of road miles at present, got up to 42 kph on the flat, plus it looks good now

Single speed= sacrilege in my book but if I had a decent modern bike to ride seriously I could see the point in having a pub bike with single speed that wasn't a thief magnet

cheers Dave The purpose is to build something from the early 90s but improve it with a bit of modern kit here and there. I like the frame and the paintjob of this bike in its original form but that's about it tbh.,they were built to a strict budget and most parts were heavy and aesthetically...

At what point do you finish a project?Needs a better chainset, the cantis are still 200gs so do I go v brake or lx cantis? Riser bars would improve it as would a new front wheel. The good news is all the big stuff is done and now it's smooth to ride and looks heaps better than it did.The banana...

Good stories..can't imagine anyone being inspired to tackle killer man giro on a modern muddy fox or Saracen. A crying shame when you consider the top bikes they used to make.I would still consider swapping parts of my anatomy for that pink aluminium Muddy Fox that I used to drool over as a 12...

Some Zoom ones I scavenged, they are in good condition but yeah they're heavy and 1 inch, the bikes 1 and 1/8th.17 quid sorts the conversion. I like to tinker

Cheers Gold Trader, she's coming up nice since all the knackered stickers were removed along with 20yrs of grime.Going to stick with 7speed true those wheels or replace depending on budget, and get that godawful biopace chainset replaced with something actually round!Seatpost is pretty hooky...

Re: I have a 91 saracen sahara that I inherited from my brother in law who knows nothing about bikes and let me have for free.It is a work in progress and has recently had a new bb and a brake and gear tune up so it runs smoothly now.Next up is a new cassette and suspension fork, but will need a...
