Cheers! I haven't touched the bike since it was finished. It's been locked away in the garage out of harm's way. Very tempted to sell it, although I doubt I'd get what I put into it.

I didn't really keep tabs on what I was spending, but I reckon the entire project probably set me back around £500… Not much less than the bike cost me back in 1990!

Hi Matt, I really couldn't say, because we went through four or five attempts to get mine right, so I ended up paying far more than expected. Now that the texture process is sorted, though, all you'd need to agree on is the correct colour code, so your final bill should be far less than mine...

Yes, the brake pads need setting correctly, but what's wrong with the cabling? It all works fine.

Yes, that was a major oversight on my part in rushing to get the bike finished and photographed.... Saddle corrected and pics updated now. :D

Re: '90 Zolatone Marin Pine Mountain restoration - FINISHED! Yes, although it was really nice to receive a few NOS parts in the post, it was also great stripping down the chainset, brakes and derailleur and tidying them up. The enthusiasm waned by Christmas, but up until then I was flying! :D
