    Wanted VW T4 door mirror

Ah, sorted a bit more info. The part I need is the mirror adjuster motor assembly. It is VW part no. 357959577A and also was fitted to Mk2 Golf, Passat, Corrado, Jetta etc. so if someone has a mirror assembly for one of those, electric adjustable/heated, it contains the bit I could do with. 😉...

    Wanted VW T4 door mirror

It’s a 2000 long nose model. Not sure when they stopped making it, when the T5 arrived I guess, ‘04 or ‘05 maybe

    Wanted VW T4 door mirror

…..also; due to a suicidal pheasant, I could do with the thin black plastic air grille with screen washers that fits in the bonnet!

    Wanted VW T4 door mirror

Hey folks. Any VW T4 fans out there have a drivers door mirror assy or parts? Mine was kindly ‘removed’ by a passing truck or something while parked. Mirror is heated and elec. controlled. I have got a new mirror, the part I need is the round motor box assembly that the mirror clips on to. It’s...

Hello Dave, Sorry about the delay, just been away to Hot Rod Hayride for a few days! No problem to drop your fork in to me at either Pickering or Whitby depending on which days you can make it over. My email is thatretrothing@icloud.com Or you can text on 07879 051461 But don’t try ringing as...

    Help with pace rc35 dismantling...

And yes; they are and should be Loctited into the crown for that retro ‘belt & braces’ reasoning. 638 is best. If the crown bolts are all loose or out try twisting the legs. All 4 bolts need to be loose. Check the stanchions carefully when removed for crimping and cracks around the top where...

    Rare Pace forks?

Yes, I can…..but, it is a hell of a job as the seal housings have to be de-bonded so it is a bit expensive to do. The process uses the original bonding jigs mentioned above. I generally only do bushings that are absolutely shot; faces missing etc. Often a little ‘play’ will be evident and can be...

    Rare Pace forks?

Oh; and also: I have the original bonding jigs and can re-bond loose dropouts on the earlier forks. Some of which can suffer with a bit of de-bonding occasionally due to the original glue failing.

    Rare Pace forks?

Doh!! Clumsy fingers! Just had a heads up from redbikes on this thread For information the ‘99 Ltd edition Pro certainly should have the ridged ‘radiator’ crown design, difficult to see in the pic. However; the decals are the correct ‘99 type. For info. The Ltd edition was made alongside the...

    Pace RC150 Monster forks.

Sorry, didn’t spot this before! 200ml of standard shock oil. Weight depends on how ‘quick’ you want them, 5, 7.5 or 10wt, but don’t go any heavier. Make sure the stanchions are fully home in the top crown when reassembling them.

    Pace forks

They are the last incarnation of the RC41 (and RC40) before Pace stopped making forks and handed it all over to DT Swiss. They were a very limited edition and each individually numbered hence the 179. The standard cast and machined crowns had run out so these were fitted with an anodised...

Broken Pace RC36 EVO 2 damper

Hope you got the preload cap ok👍 The part stuck in the fork is very difficult to remove, the damper body it is screwed to is bonded into the stanchion… but… I have a fantastic special tool built for me by Richard Hardisty just for this occurrence. If you send the fork to me I can remove the...

    Oldest mountain bike in UK?

Aye, we were at the first Wendover FTF bash, didn’t do the London Eastway; too far for my ‘64 Mini!! Also did Hay and Quantocks. I don’t remember any ‘Tracker’ events back in the day. I built my Rory O’Brien tracker in the mid 1970s I guess, don’t think I have any pics unfortunately. I think...
